Dengate Family Bible

This bible was presented to Thomas Dengate and Frances Ashdown on the occasion of their 1852 marriage in Peasmarsh. It records details of their children's births, marriages and deaths. It also contains on a separate piece of paper information on the births of Frances Ashdown's parents and siblings. The bible currently remains with Thomas and Frances's great grandaughter.
